Why Hydro Easy

EPANET's rigor, without the desktop friction

The same hydraulic solver trusted worldwide for 30 years — delivered in a modern, georeferenced, affordable tool.

Official engine, trustworthy results

EPANET 2.2 (US EPA) compiled to WebAssembly: the same equations, the same results as the world reference. Computation stays 100% local in your browser.

Draw on real maps

Trace pipes and junctions on satellite imagery — Dakar or anywhere else. Geodesic lengths are computed automatically; no more manual measurements.

Hydraulic AI assistant

Pipe sizing, starter network generation, diagnostic help: an assistant that speaks the language of urban hydraulics.

Pricing built for Africa

Free to learn and prototype. Pro at 5,900 FCFA/month payable via Wave, or $9.99/month by card. No commitment, no €5,000 license.

Features

The full modeling cycle, from layout to report

Steady state & extended period

Single-period or 24 h/7 d simulation: elevated tank level cycles, demand patterns, pump on/off controls.

Water quality

Chlorine decay, water age and source tracing to identify which resource supplies each neighborhood.

.INP import / export

Open models from EPANET Desktop, WaterGEMS or Porteau, and re-export a standard .INP file at any time. Your data is never locked in.

GIS import Pro

Load GeoJSON or Shapefile layers to build the model straight from your existing asset inventory.

AI assistant

Sizing, network generation, context-aware hydraulic answers. 3 requests/day on Free, 50/day on Pro.

Semi-automatic calibration Pro

Fit pipe roughness coefficients to your field pressure and flow measurements — no more manual trial and error.

Reports & tables

Printable reports, result tables exportable to CSV, public project sharing via a simple link.

Pump controls

On/off rules based on tank levels or schedules: validate your pumping strategies before applying them in the field.

DMA & leaks Pro

DMA sectorization and leak pre-location using the minimum night flow method. Details below.

For operators

Cut non-revenue water, one district at a time

Non-revenue water is fought with method: split the network into district metered areas (DMAs), track the minimum night flow, and intervene where it drifts.

  • Assisted DMA sectorization: define your districts directly on the model and verify their hydraulic isolation by simulation.
  • Leak pre-location: the minimum night flow method compares legitimate night-time consumption with measured flow and flags suspect districts.
  • Prioritized field surveys: send your acoustic correlation crews to the right district instead of sounding the entire network.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does my network data go? Is it sent to a server?

Hydraulic computations run 100% in your browser (EPANET 2.2 engine in WebAssembly): your model does not need to leave your machine to be simulated. Only the projects you choose to save to the cloud are stored on our servers, and you can export or delete your data at any time.

Is it compatible with my existing EPANET (.INP) files?

Yes. Hydro Easy imports and exports the standard .INP format. You can open a model created in EPANET Desktop, WaterGEMS or Porteau, edit it, then re-export it — the round trip is by design, so your data is never locked in.

Does it work offline or on an unstable connection?

Once the app is loaded, simulations run locally: a dropped connection does not interrupt a running computation. Connectivity is only needed for the satellite basemap, cloud sync and the AI assistant.

How do I pay with Wave?

From the app, pick the Pro plan then "Pay with Wave": you pay 5,900 FCFA/month straight from your Wave account, no bank card needed. Card payment ($9.99/month) remains available for users outside the FCFA zone.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

Yes, at any time and without justification: the subscription has no commitment. You keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid, then your account simply reverts to the Free plan — your projects remain exportable as .INP.
